State women's chess from May 7

THRISSUR : The State women's chess championship will be held at the Rotary Club, Chembukkav, here from May 7 to 9.

Around 40 players, including National `A' player Nimmy George (Ernakulam), Kannur's E.Sheena, Thiruvananthapuram's Meenu Rajendran, Kozhikode's Niji and Thrissur's Aswathy Balagopalan, will figure in the three-day event organised by the Chess Association-Thrissur.

The top four finishers will represent Kerala in the National `B' championship that begins in Hyderabad on May 21.
