FIFTH THRISSUR INTERNATIONAL FIDE RATING OPEN CHESS TOURNAMENT (Under2200 ELO)

Thrissur is the cultural capital of Kerala. Thrissur is also known as Temple City. There are lot of famous temples in and around the city. Vadakkunathan Siva temple, Thiruvambady Krishna temple and Paramekkav Devi temple are the three famous temples in the city . The famous Thrissur Pooram festival is celebrated connecting all the above three temples. Churches and mosque are also situated in and around city. The famous Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple is just 24 km away from Thrissur town. The beautiful Athirampilly water falls are 40 km away from the town.
The tournament venue is in the heart of the city. This is just 3km from Railway station and Transport Bus Stand and at walk able distance from Thrissur Round and North Bus stand, and adjacent to Aswani Hospital. Thrissur railway station is a major station in Kerala. Nedumbassery international airport is only 50 km away.
We are conducting the tournament during the ONAM festival. The famous PULIKALI is on the12th September which Children and grownups can enjoy this equally.

Unrated : Rs.1000.
Rated Less Than 2000 : Rs800 .
Rated2200 -2001 –Rs 600.
Thrissur Players Rs.600.
AICF Registration must for all players. Registration Fee Rs250 for
2011-12 should be paid or send proof of payment along with entry. CAK Registration: For Kerala players. Registration fee Rs 100.
All entry fee should be by a bank draft favoring Chess Association Thrissur payable atThrissur by crossed D.D .You may also transfer to our S B A/C at South Indian Bank Viyoor Branch,Thrissur A/C No:0161053000027330. Pls do enclose payment detail along with the entry form.
Rules : The Tournament will be played as per latest FIDE Rules. Players are requested to bring their own chess clock . Protest fee : Rs500.
Arrival on 10th Sept8.00 A.M. Departure on 13th Sept. 6 PM.
LODGING
Rs.300 for Dormitory accommodation( bring your beddings) only for players.
For girls and women players sharing accommodation for rupees 800 for3days can provide if requested at least 15 days in advance.
